Setting an ALL-TIME SALE RECORD! Consigned by the Myers Ranch and sired by their Leading Sire FRENCHMANS GUY, the 2014 Buckskin Mare GUYZ SUZY Q drew considerable prior interest and bidding action and commanded a final bid of $110,000. She left the ring under the new ownership of Harry LaToush from Scott City, Kansas – a repeat buyer since 2003. Guyz Suzy Q is out of the proven mare DAISY DUKE DASH, a Multiple Futurity Winner with LTE of $35,000 and sired by #1 Leading Barrel Horse Sire DASH TA FAME SI 113.

FRENCHMANS FIRESTAR, a 2014 Palomino Mare sired by FRENCHMANS GUY and out of a PADDYS IRISH WHISKEY bred mare, was close behind as she drew a bid of $101,000. Consigned by the Myers Ranch (Agent) and trained by Brandon Myers, repeat buyers, the Platts Family from Scottsdale, Arizona, had the final bid and will now include her into their successful barrel futurity program.

Sired by DASH TA FAME SI 113, the 2014 Palomino Stallion RAYSEN TA THE BAR was consigned by Copper Spring Ranch (Agent) and he had a final bid of $70,000. Out of FRENCH BAR BELLE, a daughter of FRENCHMANS GUY, this outstanding arena and sire prospect has found a home with Shelly Shields from Cochran, Alberta Canada.

Sired by DASH TA FAME SI 113, the 2014 Palomino Stallion RAYSEN TA THE BAR was consigned by Copper Spring Ranch (Agent) and he had a final bid of $70,000. Out of FRENCH BAR BELLE, a daughter of FRENCHMANS GUY, this outstanding arena and sire prospect has found a home with Shelly Shields from Cochran, Alberta Canada.

Records were once again shattered at the 2016 Edition of the Myers Ranch/Copper Spring Ranch Performance Horse Sale. Presented on August 27th in Bozeman, Montana, the sale followed the afternoon preview in the CSR Indoor Arena.

Years of planning and promotion have lead to one of the most successful breeding programs in the industry and becoming the leading 2-Year-Old Program in the Nation. Myers Performance Horses has attained that level of success not only in the Barrel Racing pen but in the Performance Arena as well. Owned by Bill & Deb Myers along with their sons Chad, Billy, Brandon & Brady from near St. Onge, South Dakota, they are home to the $10+ Million Leading Sire Frenchmans Guy and also stand A Smooth Guy and Cowboys Cartel SI 93. Two and 3-Year-Old Arena Prospects and select Weanlings and Yearlings were offered in the 2016 sale sired by their senior sires. Also standing at the ranch are a battery of junior stallions all sired by Frenchmans Guy – Ima Special Kindaguy, This Guyz A Keeper and Mr Sassy Frenchman.

When Guyz Suzy Q and Bill Myers rode out of the sale ring on that Saturday evening, a new All-Time Sale Record had been set. The 2014 Buckskin Mare, sired by Frenchmans Guy and out of Multiple Futurity Winner Daisy Duke Dash by Dash Ta Fame SI 113, drew phenomenal pre-sale interest and non-stop active bidding before attaining a final bid of $110,000 from Harry LaToush. A repeat buyer, LaToush shared, “I have purchased barrel racing performance horses from Bill and Debbie Myers & Family since 2003. I kept buying Myers’ better pedigreed horses all along.” Located in Scott City, Kansas, LaToush already owns some of the best including Guys Best Bet, sired by Frenchmans Guy, and Guyz Smooth Amber by A Smooth Guy. He added, “I bought these mares not to just futurity on but to go on with and eventually raise more great pedigreed colts.” He shared that he currently has two embryo transfers in recipient mares from the cross of Guys Best Bet and #1 Leading Sire Dash Ta Fame SI 113.

Another record sale leader at the 2016 sale was Frenchmans Firestar – a Two-Year-Old Palomino Mare, again sired by Frenchmans Guy and out of a Paddys Irish Whiskey bred dam and trained by Brandon Myers. Myers Performance Horses acted as the agent for Jason & Melissa Mez from Piedmont, South Dakota and she left the ring on a final bid of $101,000. She will be entering into the proven Barrel Futurity Program of Joey, Wendy & Rylea Platts from Scottsdale, Arizona. They thanked the Myers for raising such awesome prospects and added, “Frenchmans Firestar is more than we could have imagined and definitely worth it all. She will go home to Texas with our trainer Joy Wargo to start her on the barrels and continue to ride her throughout her futurity year.”

Copper Spring Ranch is a state-of-the-art facility owned by Karen Gilhousen. Managers Brian & Lisa Anderson oversee the daily ranch operations and Dr. Chris Ray operates his Ray Equine Services @ CSR at the updated veterinary clinic located onsite. They stand the proven producer Prime Talent SI 107, one of Corona Cartel’s fastest sons. A Multiple Stakes Winner and race sire of over $1.5 Million in Money Earners, he has 14 progeny with Speed Indexes of 100-121. They also stand the stallion Furyofthewind SI 96 with Progeny Race Earnings of $5.4+ Million and current Barrel Racing EquiStat Earners of $43,034.

Acting as agent, CSR’s top seller for 2016 was the 2014 Palomino Stallion Raysen Ta The Bar – sired by Dash Ta Fame SI 113 and out of French Bar Belle, a daughter of Frenchmans Guy. This arena and stallion prospect has 3 and 4-year-old full brothers currently in training with Monica McClung. Shelly Shields from Cochran, Alberta Canada had the bid at $70,000.

Another sale topper for CSR was the Two-Year-Old Black Gelding Dash Ta Liberty. Again sired by Dash Ta Fame SI 113, he is out of their ranch broodmare Lanes Liberty Belle by Lanes Leinster SI 101. “This gelding is designed to be a champion! One of the most proven crosses in the industy.” Paid in Full to the Future Fortunes, this well started prospect also drew considerable pre-sale interest and left the ring at $26,000 from Robert & Brenda Emmert from Hockley, Texas.

Auctioneer for the 2016 sale was Lynn Weishaar, Reva, South Dakota and Announcer was John E. Johnson from Piedmont, South Dakota. Clerk was Sharon Freed, St. Onge, South Dakota, and live internet coverage of the preview and sale was handled by Michael Cloward from 3-2-1 Action Video, Fort Worth, Texas.

GUYZ SMOOTH AMBER, sired by A Smooth Guy and out of the proven producer Amber Holland SI 88 by Holland Ease SI 109, was the HIGH SELLING MYERS RANCH CONSIGNMENT. The 2013 Bay Mare left the ring on a final bid of $56,000 from repeat buyer Harry LaToush from Kansas.

GUYS GIRLS SHAKEM UP, a 2013 Gray Mare consigned by the Myers Ranch, was sired by Frenchmans Guy and out of a daughter of Royal Shake Em SI 104. She sold on a bid of $49,000 from the Hill Family from Texas.

FLITS FRENCH BLONDIE, out of a daughter of Fire Water Flit SI 86 and sired by Frenchmans Guy, was consigned by the Myers Ranch and caught the eye of the Plundel’s from Iowa. She also left the ring at $49,000.

COWGIRLS LUV COWBOYS, Sired by the Myers Ranch stallion Cowboys Cartel SI 93, commanded a bid of $54,000. Out of an own daughter of Paddys Irish Whiskey, the 2013 Bay Mare now calls the Province of Alberta home with the Howes Family.

GUYZ DANCE FOR PERKS was the High Selling Yearling Stallion. Sired by Frenchmans Guy, he is out of This Perks Can Dance SI 94 by Dash For Perks SI 93. Consigned by the Myers Ranch, he stayed in Montana with the Robinson Family on a bid of $41,000.

Bozeman, MT – One word – STELLAR. The decision to offer a sale merging two of the Nation’s leading Quarter Horse Performance and Breeding Operations has proven to be the right one. Myers Performance Horses, long established as the Nation’s leading 2-Year-Old Prospect Program and home to $9 Million Leading Sire Frenchmans Guy, joined forces with the Copper Spring Ranch for their 2015 Performance Horse Sale. The auction was held on Saturday, August 22nd at the spacious CSR Indoor Performance Arena near Bozeman, Montana offering 59 head including a majority of well-started arena prospects. The performance horse market is huge and records were definitely broken. The 54 head changing hands cashed in approximately $1.5 Million for an overall average of $27,306 selling to 18 states and Canada.

Two and 3-year-old Arena Prospects and yearling stallion prospects sired by the 3 senior sires and World Speed AA were included in their 2015 sale offering.

Topping the 2015 Myers Ranch/Copper Spring Ranch Performance Horse Sale was a 2013 Buckskin Mare sired by the CSR stallion Prime Talent. Explosive Talent, paid in full to the Future Fortunes and WPRA Pro Elite Stallion Incentive programs, left the ring on a record-breaking bid of $100,000 from the Cok Family from Montana. Out of the Myers Ranch broodmare No Shake For Deb by Royal Shake Em SI 104, the gray mare Guys Girls Shakem Up drew considerable attention and is now in Texas with the Hill Family. Both prospects are enrolled in the Future Fortunes program.

Guys Best Bet, consigned by Bill & Deb Myers and sired by their senior sire Frenchmans Guy, drew considerable interest prior to the sale and during the preview. Leaving the ring after active bidding on a final bid of $56,000 from Harry LaToush from Kansas, the 2011 sorrel mare is out of Addicted To Cash, a proven producing full sister to Leading Sire Dash For Perks and she has produced race winners of $96,000. He drew a final bid of $32,500 from Ed Pfaff, a buyer from Wisconsin.

This Guyz A Leader, a 2011 palomino stallion brought a bid of $26,000 from Scott Gray from Canada. By Frenchmans Guy, he is out of Bugs Special Leader SI 94, a Stakes Placed Winner on the track. One of the high sellers at the 2013 Sale was a weanling filly – Flits French Blondie. Out of an own daughter of Fire Water Flit and sired by Frenchmans Guy, the well-balanced palomino filly was consigned by Linda Rittberger and attracted a bid of $33,000 from Ron Young from South Dakota. The result of a donated fee and embryo, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Lone Tree Bible Ranch in Wyoming.

Spearfish, SD – If the horse market is on that long awaited upward swing it has definitely started here in the Black Hills of Western South Dakota. The 2011 edition of the Myers Performance Prospect Sale was once again a first class production drawing International attention to their ranch raised performance horses. Held here on August 27th, Bill & Deb Myers from nearby St. Onge, SD, hosted their prospect sale east of Spearfish at the Seven Down Arenas. Their personal offering of 50 head was complimented by a select group of guest consignors from across the nation.

Kaseys Shadow, a 2009 bay mare sired by the ranch’s senior sire Frenchmans Guy, drew considerable attention and has a whirlwind journey and career ahead of her. She is out of Generals French Lady by Bogies General, the dam of Heza Hot General and Colours Of Shadows with combined Equistat earnings of $30,165. Commanding a bid of $40,000 from Agent Carlos DaSilva, she will find a new home in the South American country of Brazil. DaSilva, acting again as the agent, also had the final bid on Guys Mis Laico, a 2009 chestnut mare sired by Leading Barrel Horse Sire Frenchmans Guy and out of the track record holding Streakin Six daughter, Miss Laico Six SI 104. Destined for Brazil, this well-started prospect left the ring on a bid of $31,000. The maturity and balance seen in these prospects are backed by these strong Myers Ranch pedigrees.

Sired by the Myers’ Streakin Six stallion World Speed AA, Wild N Speedy Guy also drew considerable interest with Barbara Johnson from Scottsdale, AZ having the final bid at $38,000. This strong 2009 bay gelding is out of French Wild Heart, a proven daughter of Frenchmans Guy, and the 100% producer of 2011 barrel futurity money earners now exceeding $27,000. Bill Myers presale comment was, “If this colt doesn’t make a superstar, I will be very disappointed.”

With a 3-time NFR Barrel Racing Qualifier as her dam, Guys Royal Scarlett has a bright future in the performance arena and barrel racing world. Again by the $4 Million sire Frenchmans Guy, the 2009 palomino mare is out of Go Royal Scarlett, a daughter of Royal Go Go SI 90 by Royal Bar SI 95. Campaigned by Ruth Haislip from California, her phenomenal lifetime barrel racing earnings exceeded $400,000. Brady & Toni Huber from Oelrichs, SD are the new owners of this ‘royally bred’ filly on a bid of $32,500.
